Abstract

Tawakkal in Islam is a very important concept in the life of a Muslim. Literally, tawakkal means surrendering or surrendering to Allah after putting in maximum effort. This concept not only covers spiritual aspects, but also has profound social, psychological and ethical dimensions in daily life. This journal aims to examine the understanding of tawakkal in the perspective of Islamic teachings, as well as its relevance in facing the challenges of modern life. The discussion begins by identifying the main sources of tawakkal teachings contained in the Qur'an and Hadith, followed by an analysis of the application of tawakkal in various aspects of life, including work, education, and social interaction. The results of the study show that tawakkal does not mean surrender without effort, but rather balancing human effort and full trust in God's destiny. Thus, tawakkal can be a strong foundation to face life's difficulties with calmness and optimism. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
