Abstract

This journal discusses the concept of monotheism according to Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah in Islam. Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah's understanding of monotheism includes aspects of the oneness of Allah SWT, His attributes, avoidance of shirk, and the application of monotheism in everyday life. This research was carried out using the library research method by collecting and analyzing related literature from various sources. They believe that Allah SWT is the only God who has the right to be worshiped and there is no god besides Him. Apart from that, they also believe that Allah SWT has perfect qualities and that no one is like Him. Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah's understanding of monotheism is not only theoretical, but also practical in carrying out worship and interacting with fellow humans. They emphasize the importance of the oneness of Allah as the basis of Islamic teachings and the avoidance of shirk. Apart from that, their understanding also includes the application of moral and ethical values in everyday life, such as self-control, responsibility for the environment, as well as tolerance and tolerance.
