Abstract

Civic education is a subject that must be taught to all students so they understand their rights and responsibilities in society and the nation. Another reason why civic education is important is that it can foster a sense of nationalism and instill moral values in students from an early age. Citizenship Education should be accessible to everyone, from early childhood to adulthood. This is crucial to ensure that every individual possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to become a responsible citizen and contribute to nation-building. the essence of Civic Education lies in the formation of individuals' moral character, ethics, and national awareness, as well as an understanding of their rights and obligations as good citizens. Its urgency is reflected in efforts to maintain national unity and integrity, strengthen national identity in the era of globalization, increase active participation in the democratic process, and address the threats of radicalism and extremism. This education aims to build a harmonious, tolerant, and civilized society, thus creating responsible citizens who positively contribute to the nation's progress and stability.
