ISLAMIC EDUCATION: RESTRUCTURING, RECONCILIATION, REORIENTATION OF THE TRANSFORMATION

Abstrak

Reforming the Islamic education system is more than a superficial adjustment or a quick fix. Instead, it requires a comprehensive process of restructuring, reconciliation, and reorientation, all geared towards improving Islamic education, which can play an essential role in pushing this transformative phase forward. In this article, the authors attempt to present models of solutions for the transformation of Islamic education in Indonesia. The first model we offer is the comprehensive equipping of human resources, which can integrate technology into Islamic education. Second, the involvement of the government in supporting Islamic education. Third, building a solid foundation for face the advancement of global education by integrating Islamic spirituality into the science and technology curriculum. A significant path to achieving this relevance lies in recognizing the hierarchical and interconnected nature of the various disciplines, which allows for unity in terms of faith and religious experience and the realm of knowledge diversity.
