EARLY EDUCATION: APPLICATION OF MULTICULTURAL UNDERSTANDING FOR THE CHILDREN OF MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH IN GUNUNGSITOLI

Abstrak

This study aims to analyze how the multicultural education model is carried out in the Nias Islands from an early age. This research was conducted in madrasah ibtidaiyah schools affiliated with Nahdlatul Ulama. The research method is qualitative with direct field research and also literature studies by taking two schools as research objects. The results of the study show that multicultural education is carried out from an early age in the Nias Islands at madrasah ibtidaiyah schools, namely by way of a model of respect and respect and mutual affection for others. This is done to realize an attitude of tolerance for students in the future.
