Abstract

Indonesia, as a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, has many religious figures who have played an important role in the formation and development of Islamic values. As a spiritual leader and educator, Master Zainur Mazdi has a significant influence in his community and outside the community. He was involved in the establishment and management of several Islamic educational institutions, which aimed to impress a young generation that was not only educated, but also noble moral. The kind of research we use is library research. The technique we use in analyzing data is qualitative analysis. Since he has influence over Indonesia, we try to find his background, doctrine, role and philosophy. He was a man born Pancor, Selong, May 31, 1972. He is the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara who has served for two terms, 2008-2013 and 2013-2018. He also has a lot of roles and influences. Among them is the development of Islamic education and political leadership. Among his teachings and philosophies is to preach in a suitable way, to override the Prophet Muhammad of Religious Education as the primary priority.
