TAREKAT NAQSYABANDIYAH BESILAM: SYEKH ABDUL WAHAB ROKAN

Abstract

The Naqsyabandiyah Order in North Sumatra was first developed by Syaikh Abdul Wahab Rokan. In fact, the tarekat teachings he developed have changed the lives of his followers in Babussalam in a more prosperous direction. In this article, the author explores the history, teachings and practices of the Naqsyabandiyah Syaikh Abdul Wahab Rokan order in Babussalam and analyzes the dynamics of change within it. The author believes that the application of the teachings of the Naqshbandiyah order of Shaikh Abdul Wahab Rokan which emphasizes that the material world is not the only material in life is a way to create balance between the profane and eternal dimensions of life
